Claudio kron do BRAZIL is a percussionist, songwriter, dancer and poet from Bahia in Brazil who has devoted himself to music since the age of 9 when his mother Nanucia Lima Santos presented him with his very own "berimbau"!

Claudio has been based in the UK since 1996, where his sound has continued to evolve. Celebrating the force of percussion that takes heavy influence from the traditional slave & slave owners ancestors, Claudio produces music that encompasses traditional African and Portuguese themes blended with the indigenous Brazilian sound. In simple terms the music produced by Claudio kron do BRAZIL is a melting pot of cultural identity that is performed with intense passion and energy.

Adalmiro Leoncio da Silva (Meu Mestre, SABARA ) Is for me pure gold in a human format. Claudio's culmative years were spent studying many different percussion instruments, experimenting with sounds and rhythms and mastering a wide range of Brazilian traditional rhythms ( studies which continue to this day )

Claudio performs and runs percussion workshops all over the world: Brazil, England, Holland, France, Spain, New Zealand and Africa among many others!

As well as solo work Claudio is also part of the band papaJACA, who have performed at numerous festivals, theatres as well as out in the community. Wherever there are people, papaJACA will create a powerful and vibrant atmosphere.

Working in shows both as a musician and producer Claudio toured Brazil extensively performing in Bahia, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Curitiba, etc... before moving to the UK in 1996.
